Netflix is looking for a Publicity Manager with expertise in the US Hispanic market to handle publicity for its original series and develop and execute strategy for its UCAN region (US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand). We need someone who is equipped and excited to spearhead publicity campaigns, autonomously with passion and creativity. With great original series like Marvel's The Defenders, The Crown, Stranger Things, Ingobernable, Master of None, Narcos and more on the horizon, the Manager, Originals Series Publicity will be responsible for strategizing and executing innovative campaigns from top to bottom. We need big thinkers who can put their traditional publicity know-how to work against a broader regional strategy that they contribute to, aligning closely with social and marketing.

The Role
The Manager for Originals Series Publicity, US Hispanic, will play a key role in strategizing, executing and managing publicity campaigns for series - not just for Netflix shows but also for its broader slate across the UCAN region.
They will us their deep knowledge of the US Hispanic market to help prioritize support as well as devise and execute publicity for Spanish and LATAM local original series as well as original series with US Hispanic media and consumer appeal; they will break out talent that appeals to the US Hispanic market through earned media and strong existing press relationships; they will devise a US Hispanic market strategy; they will work closely with members of the LATAM teams for in market slate events with US Hispanic crossover and own relationships with the US Hispanic media on behalf of Netflix' series.
The Manager will help create, shape, execute and manage campaigns for series, making use of multiple earned media channels, including broadcast, print and online. He/she will play a critical role in communicating with showrunners, talent and production company partners during production up to and beyond launch. They will focus on creating cultural moments and high impact campaigns, explore new tactics of promoting series, and will be able to communicate different facets of their campaigns to executives, showrunners, talent and talent representatives. She or he will pitch media, secure opportunities and cover set visits or help plan and work junkets. She or he has also worked alongside agencies, or has managed agencies on projects. They can formulate and manage a budget, and give visibility into their process successfully. This person will also be involved in the awards campaign, strategy and submission process for their shows.
The ideal candidate is able to make wise decisions, even when faced with ambiguity and thinks strategically. He/she is doesn't fall back on PR 101 tactics and is eager to put a new spin on what a series campaign can be. They can articulate what they are - and are not - trying to do. He or she is a good listener and a real doer, and is able to multi-task and work at a clip pace. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty - and that could mean jumping in to handle tasks that range from writing a strategy, writing a series announcement, booking travel or negotiating hair and make-up. They collaborate well with partners that range from content/programming to marketing to social to product and beyond. Strong candidates can handle a vast amount of work and they are eager to learn. They are curious and also contribute effectively outside of their speciality. They aren't timid about assessing their work when they are done to explore what they could have done differently or better. A good fit in the role has a candid and direct communication style. They are willing to admit to mistakes quickly and question values inconsistent with our values and Netflix culture. They understand that sometimes the job requires delivering bad news, and they're tactful in handling such issues.
Qualifications
The successful candidate for Manager, Originals Publicity, US Hispanic will have at least 7-9 years of entertainment experience in an agency, studio, network or journalism setting. They are fluent in Spanish. They have relationships with key US Hispanic media as well as the ability to build and maintain connections with key journalists and social media influencers. BA/BS required.
