We are looking for a talented and passionate legal professional to join our Marketing Legal team for Asia (excluding Japan) based in Singapore. As part of the Singapore team, you will help define the Netflix brand and shape the future of entertainment across the region.
The Marketing Legal team collaborates with internal and external business partners to support the marketing and publicity of Netflix's content and its service. The successful candidate's responsibilities may include drafting and negotiating marketing agreements; developing, maintaining, and localizing contract templates; advising on asset creation, talent issues, and use and rights management; reviewing proposed marketing materials and activations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; providing general advice/counsel to the Marketing and Communications teams; helping to increase business IQ on marketing/PR legal issues; and providing administrative support to the Marketing Legal team.

The successful candidate will have:
• Either 2 years of relevant experience as a qualified lawyer working in-house at an entertainment/media company, agency or top-tier law firm or 7 years of relevant experience as a paralegal/contracts manager ideally in the advertising, media or entertainment industry. Qualification/experience working in more than one jurisdiction is a plus.
• Expertise in at least some of the following areas of law: entertainment law; commercial contracts; intellectual property; rights management; clearance; and/or marketing/advertising.
• Experience in reviewing and summarizing a large volume of agreements and other legal documentation with limited supervision.
• The ability to prepare and negotiate common marketing agreements (non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, statements of work, media buying agreements, talent agreements, license agreements, endorsement agreements, partnership agreements etc.).
The successful candidate will also possess the following:
• Strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably within tight timeframes in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to think commercially, practically and be solution-oriented
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task, prioritize and meets deadlines in a timely manner
• Ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels
• Flexibility to work across different time zones (e.g., Singapore, India, USA, etc.) and to travel as needed
