We are looking for a Creative Pipeline Product Manager and Technical Director, based out of our Los Angeles Headquarters, to join the Netflix Creative Technologies and Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for the effective design, implementation, and support of production ready systems and infrastructure at facilities around the world. As our lead product manager / technical director, you will work with our internal teams and our production creatives to identify workflow inefficiencies and design solutions. You are will keep our productions running smoothly from a software standpoint by leveraging your deep knowledge and technical skills to build software and write scripts enabling our creatives to focus on the creative. You will collaborate with multiple departments to implement cloud based solutions and workflows for our creatives, bridge knowledge gaps between teams, proactively identify inefficiencies and improvements, and develop solutions.
Responsibilities
• Work with our Content Engineering team to design workflows and pipelines that empower our creatives
• Work closely with artists and executives to understand their workflows, advise on best practices, and write tools that automate the boring stuff to allow our content creators to focus on the creative
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure tools are secure, scalable, maintainable, and contribute to the long term benefit of the studio
Skills , Knowledge, and
Qualifications
• 5 years of python / PyQT / PySide development in the Media and Entertainment industry
• 3 years working with Shotgun Toolkit (SGTK) in a production environment
• Experience using diagram software to communicate development opportunities and workflows (Lucidchart, Visio, Google Drawings, OmniGraffle, etc..)
• Demonstrated coding best practices including clear and frequent documentation, use of version control (git, perforce, etc..), and a keep it simple mindset
• A deep understanding of all aspects of the animation and visual effects process including Modeling, Rigging, Lighting, FX, Rendering, and Editorial.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
