THE OPPORTUNITY
THE ROLE
Netflix seeks an intellectually curious attorney to join the business & legal affairs team for Netflix's Series Animation group (Kids & Family), with a focus on the development and production of Preschool series. The candidate will be primarily responsible for drafting and negotiating agreements related to: development and production, producer, writer, and showrunners, rights, voice over, production services, and other production agreements primarily for preschool animated series programming. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with global internal business partners (e.g., content and production), cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing, consumer products, intellectual property, employment, labor, and tax, ), and other key partners (e.g., finance, contract administration, legal operations). The candidate must be comfortable challenging norms and finding ways to create efficiencies for this high volume team in order to remain nimble, accomplish Netflix's objectives and execute the preschool global content acquisition strategies.
The ideal candidate must be very comfortable counseling and collaborating with internal and external business partners, attorneys, producers, and production partners located throughout the world and making decisions that have both legal and business impact. Excellent drafting skills are a must. The ideal candidate will welcome the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization and thrive in communicating in a global environment.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have at least five to seven years of business & legal affairs experience primarily in series television working for a major studio, production company, or law firm. Live-action experience is a plus.
In addition, the candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment
