We are currently seeking a film and television content licensing lawyer to join our Singapore-based Business and Legal Affairs team, to help support our growing content acquisition efforts in Asia Pacific, with specific focus on South-East Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Netflix Business and Legal Affairs team to structure, draft and negotiate agreements with independent studios, producers, and distributors, to acquire and distribute content on the Netflix service. He or she will likely need to delve into local law and practice in various countries, and should be extremely comfortable making decisions that have both legal and business impact.

This position will be based in Singapore with periodic travel, including to Netflix's office in Hollywood.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of broad-based intellectual property and licensing experience, whether in private practice or in-house. As a role focussed on film and television content acquisition, the candidate shall be required to structure, draft and negotiate content acquisition agreements for content on the Netflix service. Direct experience in pay and/or free television content acquisition and/or distribution will be of benefit, as will practical knowledge of the television and/or film industry (including content windowing strategies, and the evolving theatrical, VOD, pay TV, syndication and home video landscapes). Experience in the Asia Pacific market and fluency in English is required, and working knowledge of Mandarin and/or another Asia Pacific language(s) is preferred.
