Job Overview
NBCUniversal is on a mission to become the number one choice for marketers globally to reach audiences in a brand safe, premium environment. We are looking for a strong, experienced marketer, with a content focus, to join the team to help reshape the NBCUniversal brand internationally.
Working hand-in-hand with the Global Ad Sales team and the Catalyst agency, the Senior Business Marketing Manager role is crucial in building our brand across international markets and supporting revenue growth.
The candidate will work in tandem with the frontline sales teams to deliver a consistent, timely and tailored narrative around the benefits of working with NBCUniversal and a portfolio of brands and partner companies.
The role has crucial touch points across the organisation, deeply embedded within the global ad sales functions, but closely aligned with the Communications and Strategic Partnerships team, editorial units and senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work in cooperation with colleagues across regions and report to the VP, Executive Creative Director, Catalyst.
The Senior Business Marketing Manager will need to collaborate with and be able to listen to the opportunities and challenges that are presented for each of the global markets NBCUniversal is expanding into.
They will need to understand the different approaches of the sales leaders and utilise the resource and expertise from across the international and domestic (US) business to help the business reach its ambitious goals. They will also represent Global Ad Sales and the Catalyst agency at events and in front of clients.
The candidate should be bold in their strategic thinking, content campaigns and able to push the relevant teams in order to develop a relevant suite of tools and assets that will support sales growth across international markets. The successful candidate will therefore need to have a strong background in content marketing to specific communities, driving engagement, delivering leads and measuring meaningful success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of a business marketing strategy for the global ad sales group and the Catalyst agency across multiple international markets
• Work closely with the Vice President of Communications and US marketing teams to ensure alignment around tent pole events and themes to ensure maximum visibility in international markets
• Become well versed in the competitor set, their activity, go to market positioning and objectives in order to develop compelling marketing campaigns to showcase NBCUniversal's leadership and difference
• Lead of an ambitious events programme aimed at engaging new and existing clients in very verticals such as luxury, sustainability, travel and technology
• Implement and manage an ‘always on' content and outreach marketing roadmap for NBCUniversal's digital platforms (including marketing sites and social handles)
• Identify key industry events to partner with, effectively manage and secure participation to awards events, supply high end on brand premiums, coordinate hospitality for top tier clients at appropriate global events
• Build and manage audience community development, curate small target audiences and develop touchpoints / approach across the year to engage with these audiences and unlock potential revenue.
• Become the facilitator and executive lead of the CNBC/NBCUniversal CMO Now Community â€'' managing the community members, content marketing strategy and events internationally.
• Source and maintain strong relationships with vendors and freelancers across the market.
• Present creative ideas and concepts concisely and effectively during pitches internally and externally.
• Provide guidance and creative council for trade marketing deliverables and aid in award entry submissions.
• Encourage and provide feedback, shared learnings, promote ideas and talent from within to continually enhance our Cataylst work culture and work product.

Skills
& Experience:
Experience in creating excellent content driving results, sharing content across multiple platforms, analysing and measuring content performance.
Strong project management skills, ability to manage priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment, deliver and support engagement, leads and sales.
Excellent B2B marketing skills evidenced by a track record of working with sales teams and implementing effective plans to assist revenue delivery.
Excellent presentation and general communication skills; ability to clearly communicate marketing roadmaps and ensure engagement from key stakeholders by effectively presenting benefits of trade marketing, while keeping relevant teams up to date with plans.
Naturally externally focused with a strong interest in new developments in the industry and monitoring competitive activity / market intelligence to capitalise on all present and future business opportunities.
A team player able to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Innovative and creative thinker, with international experience and mind-set.
Experience with WordPress, Google analytics and social channels.
Experience in media/advertising industry with some events experience preferable.
Business, marketing or media degree preferred.
Language skills beyond English are greatly appreciated.
Requirements
University degree and media qualification preferred
Willingness to travel as required and to work flexible hours when necessary
