Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Corporate Social Responsibility will support the SVP and Communications Manager in the development and execution of strategic communications plans to amplify NBCUniversal€™s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programming to internal and external audiences. The person in this role will help identify and execute written and video-based storytelling opportunities that showcase how NBCUniversal is supporting the communities where we live and work. This role will also support our communications efforts across other CSR programming including PSA and cause-marketing campaigns.
The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in strategic communications including writing, editing, multi-platform content creation, and campaign or project management and can ensure we are leveraging various mediums for the most effective results. This role will be based in New York, NY.
Job Duties
• Help identify external opportunities for NBCUniversal to showcase CSR programming including conferences, speaking engagements, and other thought leadership opportunities
• Draft external-facing communications supporting NBCUnites, our volunteering and social impact programming, including partner & employee profiles, press releases, etc.
• Support development and execution of NBCUniversal€™s longstanding PSA campaign, The More You Know. This includes brainstorming topic ideas, drafting informational guides, staying up to date on social media topics and trends, pulling data reports, and managing program€™s website
• Provide marketing and communications support for Project Innovation, NBCUniversal€™s annual grantmaking program. Tasks may include social media management, identifying storytelling opportunities and communications channels, publishing information to company websites, and drafting email communications
• Maintain database of CSR industry awards; identify application opportunities and manage submission process
• Manage and edit content on digital platforms including company intranet, public-facing website, and employee giving portal
• Manage and archive CSR photo and video content
• Assist team when needed to research, brainstorm, or draft copy for ad-hoc CSR-related communications requests or inquiries
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor€™s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related field from an accredited university
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or public relations in a corporate environment and/or the nonprofit sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or other design or photo editing software

• Excellent written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and proven ability to work cross-functionally in a complex, decentralized organization
• Experience drafting written communications or campaign assets including press releases, articles, talking points, website copy, etc.
• Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate necessary project details from initiation to completion
• Experience/familiarity with video production process including ideating, scripting, coordinating, and reviewing edits
• Experience/familiarity working in Corporate Social Responsibility
• Experience managing company/organization€™s social media account(s)
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and analytic and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently, multi-task successfully and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Google Analytics
