Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Communications Coordinator will be part of NBCUniversal's Television and Streaming Entertainment division assisting the EVP, Strategic Communications and several team members in their day-to-day activities working across key brands including NBC, USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY and Universal Kids. This will include general administrative support, as well as collaborating with the media relations, corporate communications, DEI, events, and awards teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist with coordinating various requests to support the Strategic Communications team while working closely with the Scripted, Unscripted, and Late Night Communications teams.
• Send out releases and create press coverage reports for our shows and company announcements such as executive hires and promotions, new diversity and inclusion initiatives, and digital/social campaigns and strategies.
• Monitor and track breaking news stories / trends within the industry and beyond.
• Assist the team in media relations such as building media lists, tracking coverage, writing press releases, and pitching reporters.
• Liaise with the NBCU internal communications team to highlight NBC Entertainment in company-wide communications and initiatives.
• Work and facilitate press events including semi-annual press tours, award shows, and red carpet events.
• Participate as part of the team in brainstorming, planning and executing key initiatives, campaigns, and events.
• Track budgets and process invoices.
• Maintain the calendars and manage the schedules of your managers.
• Phone and administrative duties such as scheduling interviews, booking travel and expense reports.
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• 1 years experience in a fast-paced office environment
