Responsibilities
Role Summary:
Dynamic and highly visible opportunity for a senior human resources business partner, providing overall strategic human resources support for the NBCUniversal Finance organization and global Finance function, as well as the Corporate Strategy, Sourcing and Enterprise Business Intelligence groups. The Vice President, Human Resources will partner closely with the NBCUniversal Chief Financial Officer on both the operational HR support for the Corporate Finance Organization (Controllership, FP&A, Tax, and Procurement) as well as the strategic HR direction for the NBCUniversal Finance Function at large. In addition, the Vice President will work closely with other senior-level finance, strategy and sourcing executives across the company, as well as the EVP, Business Intelligence and his leadership team. This position reports to SVP, Human Resources – Finance, Operations & Technology, and leads a team of HR business partners in New York and Los Angeles, while also working closely with HR teams internationally.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic human resources leadership and operate as a business partner to the company's Chief Financial Officer, EVP Business Intelligence, head of Procurement, Corporate Strategy leaders as well as other senior finance leaders across the company
• Work closely with the company's CFO as well as other senior finance leaders to create and foster a community across the company-wide finance function; build strong relationships with business CFOs, as well as other senior finance leaders, and develop an intimate knowledge of our finance talent across the company, their unique talent needs, as well as function-wide trends and challenges
• Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across the Corporate Finance departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Own 'talent' across the company's finance function, to include building a robust pipeline for finance roles, maintaining competitive compensation, identifying common development opportunities, and ensuring the selection and promotion of the best finance talent across the company
• Lead identification and movement of key finance talent across the enterprise by partnering with business HR leaders, CFOs and Talent Acquisition
• In partnership with Comcast, work to attract world-class entry-level finance talent to our organization; partner with Comcast to develop and refine pipeline and development programs to ensure they meet NBCUniversal's finance talent needs
• Provide executive coaching to both Corporate Finance and Business Finance leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
• Partner with Corporate and Business Finance leaders on enterprise-wide strategic Finance initiatives
• Collaborate with finance leadership and talent development to design and implement employee development programs
• Where needed and in partnership with other HR leaders, act as an HR liaison to the finance department acting as a resource on finance issues that may have broader HR implications across the company
• Working closely with department leadership, attract talent to and build out the Enterprise Business Intelligence team, an emerging organization within NBCUniversal; help create appropriate organization structures, coach new leaders, and establish and drive a team culture
• Work with Corporate Finance leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive and motivating work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience, including experience in an HR leadership role

• Takes ownership; able to establish self as the 'go-to' HR resource for client organizations
• Experience or familiarity with finance roles, functions or organizations; able to communicate in the 'language' of finance professionals
• Strong diplomacy and ability to work across a matrix/decentralized finance function
• MBA or Master's degree preferred
