Responsibilities
Role Summary:
• The Vice President, International Media is responsible for leading and overseeing the international media strategy, planning, and buying across international territories
• This is not a typical client VP role. The position works across multiple areas including direct international media buying and stewardship of global media deals; reviews local plans; management central agency resources in preparing POVs on key issues; assisting local territories with programmatic buying, first-party data management in partnership with our data team, ad verification, ad serving, and related ad operations topics, and social media spending trends
• This position will also provide strong support for general media department projects including developing, reviewing, and managing marketing budgets for international territories
Essential Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the international media strategy, planning, and buying across international territories
• Lead a team that accomplishes the international paid media work, starting with the media strategies and campaign briefings through execution across digital and linear, including monitoring campaigns in-flight and post-campaign analysis to improve future campaigns
• Interact weekly with the central digital support team with our media agency
• Serve as the agency point of contact to align with our evolving business needs and continually work to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our media budgets
• Partner with the Data Team to establish the data strategy and usage for media and digital; set goals and KPIs to monitor performance across media, search, social, and digital properties
• Manage the development of data-driven capabilities for media including ongoing communication with key partners (Facebook, Google€¦), development of testing/learning plans with the field, and driving the roll-out of new products and conversion-oriented activities
• Partner with the SVP of Marketing ensuring that all plans are strategically aligned with the overall marketing strategy
• Develop materials to assist regional teams with enhancing their local teams' digital capabilities.
• Integrate state-of-the-art digital strategies and recent learnings into international media strategy documents for upcoming films
• Lead the test & learn agenda. Determine the yearly/quarterly goals with the team and stakeholders and oversee the implementation of them
• Commission white papers and POVs on current topics of importance to our local plans €'' manages creation, revisions, and distribution to the field
• Participate in regular conversations with regional leads for digital about local issues and specific plan concerns. Develop relationships with key local digital staff
• Join select meetings of the domestic digital team in order to understand the overall strategy and find information relevant for sharing widely as it relates to paid digital media
• Responsible for local plan reviews as needed
• Manage media budget investments across both short and long-term projects
• Maintain and provide Finance with ongoing paid media budget updates and reconciliations
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in media planning
• Experience with international markets
• Must have experience running multiple teams consisting of various disciplines
• Senior leadership experience in a highly matrixed global media organization is a must
• Strong digital background
