Responsibilities:
The VP Human Resources Latin America will provide HR leadership for Latin American operations of NBCUniversal Global Distribution & International (NGDI) including International Networks and Global Distribution operations. Additionally the VP Human Resources will provide HR support to the Filmed Entertainment Group in region including partnership with Universal Pictures, Fandango and Consumer Products organizations working closely with business unit HR leadership. The VP Human Resources will ensure the smooth running of the day to day employee processes and serve as business partner to NGDI regional & local senior management. The role will require working closely with the divisional HR Leaders, local HR teams, specialist HR teams and local management to achieve results and genuinely influence change. The success measures for this role are connected to delivery of the people agenda in line with strategic business priorities in order to develop a successful HR platform for an agile business operation of all divisions.
You will be a valued member of the NBCUniversal Global Distribution & International HR Leadership Team. You will manage a regional team of HR partners supporting LatAm locations and partner with COE's to ensure operations are operating optimal in the region. You will drive excellence, expertise, consistency and efficiency through solutions that deliver HR operational excellence in line with business expectations. You will lead HR operational excellence across the portfolio of businesses across LatAm and work closely with the APAC HR Lead and EMEA HR Lead if and when required to ensure best practice sharing across the regions and connection to our global HR delivery model.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
• Work closely with HR leadership from Global Distribution, Film, Parks and other business units to be sure local HR strategy aligns with global business unit HR priorities.
• Provide the operational HR support for the business pulling in support from HR functional experts as required.
• Coach, develop and challenge the management team on the execution of business priorities and on people leadership.
• Focus on identification, selection, and retention of world-class talent to ensure a dynamic pipeline of talent, working closely with the RPO provider and Executive Search function.
• Provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of Latin America HR functions including: employee relations, compensation, employee experience, engagement and organizational change.
• Manage the annual salary review process, benefits communication, performance management cycle, budgeting/headcount and talent review processes for NGDI.
• Work closely with Finance, Legal, Distribution and Admin HR support to ensure that all areas of their client groups are supported & challenged.
• Serve as an employee advocate, balancing fair employment standards, NBCU policy and practice and business needs. In this capacity partnering closely with Employment Law and Compliance organizations.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 15 years professional level HR generalist experience Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Experience working with Latin America HR practices, policies and industry trends.
• Flexibility with operating in key time zones and travel.
• Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrates effective listening, probing and investigatory skills with the ability to synthesize data collected and identify the root problems/causes to reach issue resolution.
• Experience working in an intensive matrixed environment
• Ability to multi-task, learn, problem solve, prioritize and set and attain goals
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and with all levels in the organization

• You have proven experience leading the smooth implementation of the full HR Lifecycle and have a very comfortable knowledge of local employment practices. It would be ideal if you also had some experience of the international landscape and be aware of key cultural nuances and legislation.
• Naturally, you can navigate through a complex and matrixed business and provide the appropriate partnership and support to Senior Stakeholders – whilst also working closely and collaboratively with HR peers.

• Fluency in English a must; Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus (written and oral)
