Part Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities
Graphic Design Internships exist within the following business areas:
• Filmed Entertainment
• NBC Owned Stations and Affiliates
• Cable Entertainment
Internships may include (but are not limited to):
• Creative Operations
• Internal and External Graphics
• Web & Digital Design
• Motion Graphics
• 3D Design & Animation
• UI/UX design
• Creative Services/ Brand Marketing Design
• Multimedia
• Franchise Creative
• Games
• Animation Development
Daily responsibilities and projects may include (but are not limited to):
• Create internal and external media graphic materials
• Collaborate with the designers and copywriters to expedite creative timelines
• Designs, produces and updates presentations and other sales materials, ensuring exceptional creative quality, for internal and external use Assists with designing creative brand experiences including experiential marketing, trade shows, exhibits, events and installations
• Researches trends in presentation design, event design and technology
• Merchandising, t-shirt designs, pattern-making, style guides, and other graphic design projects
• Create sketches, paintings, illustrations to help communicate new game concepts and facilitate concept discussions
• Read scripts, take notes, look at writing and director samples and give opinions, etc. on story development, animation, kids programming and comedy
Qualifications/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship
• Needs to be able to work on-site in Universal City, CA
• Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit
• Online portfolio required

• Spring Program Dates: January – May 2019.

Desired Characteristics
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.)
• InDesign
• HTML/CSS/Sass or willingness to learn
• Cinema 3D and/or 4D
• 2D Animation
• Typography & Logo Design
