Part Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities
DreamWorks Animation Television seeks an Intern for the HR Events department in Glendale, CA. Intern will gain a broad knowledge of event planning, procurement of supplies, setup, breakdown and execution of all studio events including: employee lunches, employee mixers, premiere parties, wrap parties, friends and family parties, holiday parties, and more. Intern will also support the studio's volunteer and community outreach programs (ie food drives, charity drives, visits to Children's Hospital, elementary schools, etc.) Additionally, intern will be involved with distributing company gifts (holiday, anniversary, employee appreciation, etc). Intern will draft professional e-mails, reports and corporate communication materials that clearly and effectively communicate information to an internal audience. Intern will gain exposure to other departments at the studio, including Production, Design, Publicity, Marketing, Human Resources and Executive Offices.
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Graphic design skills strongly desired for creating event flyers and invitations.
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to commit 12 weeks to the internship and work onsite in Glendale, CA
• Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Desired Characteristics
• Current class standing of Junior or above (or equivalent)
• Film/TV/Media majors or Music Industry majors preferred, but open to considering majors in any fields as long as they have an interest in a career in Music.
• Experience in programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator MS Office, and Gmail programs are preferred.
• Previous event planning experience and club involvement also preferred.
