Part Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities
Now accepting resumes for the Spring Internship Program (part-time, 16 hours per week, paid) with a start date in late January, based on school schedule. DreamWorks Employee Engagement Team seeks an Intern for the TeamWorks department in Glendale, CA. TeamWorks is the DreamWorks employee engagement team. Our mission is to develop effective internal communications and best-in-class employee experiences that enrich our workplace and enhance our already amazing culture. Initiatives include film release celebrations, Healthy Week, Take Your Kids to Work Day, leadership round-tables and weekly movie screenings.
In this role, the intern will gain insight into how we interact with our Feature employee base as well as have an opportunity to help plan and participate in a unique range of events. The intern will have exposure to the different types of initiatives we offer, including our strategy behind how we promote/communicate and execute them internally.
Job responsibilities include: designing fliers/posters to promote TeamWorks events, learning strategies behind communications plans/channels, helping execute events including timelines, staffing, setup, and breakdown. The Intern will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as data entry, calendar management, visitor requests, assembling swag bags, booking space on campus, keeping storage organized, and creating timelines/schedules as needed.
The intern will be encouraged to attend our on-campus events to learn about successful event management, the departments integral to a feature animation studio, and grow or further develop communication skills. We are not able to sponsor international students in Overhead departments.
Desired Characteristics
• A BA/BS candidate currently enrolled in a four-year college or university.
• Art, Animation, or Design majors preferred.
• Strong interest in CG animated feature film production.
• Proficiency in Photoshop with a comfortable knowledge of graphic design.
• Proficiency in Google apps (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar).
• A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidently takes initiative to solve problems, manages time efficiently, and pays close attention to detail.
• Candidates should be well organized, highly self-motivated individuals who function well in fast-paced, multi-tasking environments.
• Exposure to HR, marketing and/or experience with planning and executing events a plus.
