Responsibilities
DreamWorks Animation TV seeks an Intern for the Development and Current Series departments in Glendale, CA. The Intern will learn about and help to prepare research documents and presentation materials for shows that are currently in pre-production for high level executives. Interns will also perform script coverage, competitive tracking and research on both our Development projects and the industry. As part of the program, the intern will have the opportunity to shadow executives on a Current series show, gaining exposure to areas including but not limited to reading scripts and attending work-in-progress episode screenings. The Intern will also have the opportunity to create short-form content for marketing and programming around the TV series. This position will be exposed to the direct inner-workings of the television animation development process from beginning to end, including interfacing with high level offices.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university. A cover letter is an essential part of the submission process for this internship to showcase writing style. Only submissions with a cover letter will be considered. Must have strong writing, communication and presentation skills. Must have ability to transcribe recordings of meetings. We are not able to sponsor international students in Overhead departments
Desired Characteristics
Interest in animation is a plus. Knowledge of programs like Word and PowerPoint is a plus; knowledge of programs like Excel, video editing software and PhotoShop is preferred. Should be experienced with internet research.
