Responsibilities
The Talent Development Specialist supports the Universal Studios Hollywood population by designing, developing and facilitating onboarding, Brand and frontline leadership programs. The Specialist reports to the Manager of Talent Development and also works closely with the entire Learning & Organizational Development team to ensure all training is consistent with company standards. This person creates innovative, customized training for all Team Member programs, assists with facilitation when needed and supports the entire team with content creation that appeals to learners.
• Designs and customizes program materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations and job aids. Incorporates ongoing evaluation feedback into class materials on a continuous basis.
• Researches, designs and develops new training programs and materials. Ensures all training materials are updated, relevant, supportive of current Standard Operating Procedures and that versioning is tracked.
• Creates engaging online modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise
• Builds and maintains strong client and subject matter expert relationships to gather ongoing needs assessment information to ensure development needs are identified and addressed through training solutions.
• Provides thought leadership and support to clients, subject matter experts and training managers to incorporate and assist with coordination of non-L & OD training.
• Supports L&OD team with facilitation of frontline leadership and onboarding training as needed
• Films and edits engaging videos for use in training and other initiatives
• Update and maintain L&OD Sharepoint pages and resources
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Systems Development, Communications, Education, or related area.
• Effective training and presentation skills
• Prior experience with design, creation and implementation of training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
• Proficient in Articulate suite
• Experience with creating and editing video content
