Responsibilities
ROLE SUMMARY
As the Specialist, Corporate HR Projects, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide corporate HR initiatives that impact the global HR community and NBCUniversal employee population. You will collaborate with functions such as Legal, IT, and Communications to inform project teams on the Field HR and employee perspectives as programs, policies, and processes are designed and launched. Additionally, you will be responsible for strategically managing and tactically executing on a diverse portfolio of enterprise HR programs that support employees at various stages in the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Director, Corporate HR Projects, you will manage day-to-day operations for evergreen HR programs, identify areas for process improvement, and serve as a subject matter expert advising enterprise HR teams on Corporate HR policies, programs, and processes.
The successful candidate will have advanced written and verbal communication skills, an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to support large scale projects/programs. The candidate will exercise excellent judgment, have a strong inclination toward collaboration, be able to think of creative/nonlinear solutions to challenges, and function in a highly confidential environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the subject matter expert and Corporate HR resource supporting employee populations during a disaster
• Manage the enterprise employee emergency aid and support fund programs
• Manage the enterprise military leave program
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the Reduction In Force process and continually improve the ease of execution & communication of the enterprise severance program
• Redesign and continually manage the reimagined outplacement services available to exited employees
• Own the administration & maintenance of the employee handbook in partnership with Legal and identify ways to continually improve its accessibility & usability for employees
• Communicate & train new/changed HR policies, programs, and processes to Field HR teams and stakeholder groups
• Brainstorm and implement innovative process improvements for the HR community
• Maintain working knowledge of organizational and cross-departmental policies, programs, and processes that impact the HR community
• Provide consultation related to HR operations and policy to HR peers
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Corporate HR Projects
Qualifications
/Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3 years prior HR experience
• Experience managing/leading advanced HR projects & programs
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including the production of technically advanced Microsoft PowerPoint projects and the execution of advanced Excel data analysis
• Experience handling and maintaining the confidentiality of highly sensitive employee data
