Responsibilities
Role Summary
Our People Analytics team identifies insights about the NBCU workforce and provides critical analytical support to ensure that NBCU remains a great place to work and thrive. As a successful candidate you will:
• Utilize a hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach to reveal insights and opportunities by accessing, processing, exploring, and interpreting transaction level as well as aggregated data to succinctly tell a story and tie it to business outcomes
• Promote and encourage data-driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity and knowledge sharing while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun
• Inspire and empower both HR and business leaders with data and insights to help them better understand their organizations and shape their People strategy
• Find possible solutions to the many 'what if' questions that ensure our people and business are able to grow, develop and remain agile
• Build and refine descriptive and predictive statistical models to improve insights, enhance data-driven business strategies, and address business problems
• Leverage HR analytics & reporting tools to create value-adding insights
• Explore the unknown, brainstorming new ideas, building things, breaking things, and trying things out in a tireless attempt to identify business solutions that HR data, whether on its own or in conjunction with other non-HR data
Responsibilities
• Translate and present trends and analysis using easy to understand visualizations and graphics, using both BI tools and basic MS products such as Excel and Powerpoint
• Conduct statistical analysis to validate the relevance and correlation of different data sets
• Develops and use predictive models to address client business problems. Assist with deploying models into the business
• Determine when and how to use quantitative research tools and models and assist in the interpretation and development of implications to address client business problems
• Program and build scripts (e.g. using SQL or Python) to combine and interrogate structured and unstructured data sets
• Partner with the HR reporting team to develop and maintain key analytics within HR dashboards to quickly evaluate trends and spot anomalies over time
• Present updates, insights, and final recommendations with influence to diverse audiences across the business
• Collaborate with a teams of data analysts and data scientists across NBCU, Comcast and the wider Comcast organization to leverage different approaches, understanding, and technology
• Develop material and conduct training for both technical and business colleagues focused on People Analytics
• Encourage the development of overall analytical competency in the HR community through engagement and support
• Role model HR analytics expertise and capability both within and outside of HR
• Measure and review processes to improve organizational effectiveness and make recommendations for further optimization
Qualifications
/Requirements
Requirements:
• Experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts for a large organization
• Ability to work with ambiguity across multiple data sources, combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses.
• Proven understanding of trend analysis and other business-related data analysis strategies
• Naturally analytical and able to manipulate and translate a large volume of MI and Data into meaningful solutions
• Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques (e.g. inference, regression) and able to test relevance, validity and correlation of data
• Proficient in SAS and/or R, with the ability to clearly explain models built using those tools as well as teach others to statistical modelling tools
• Experience with data warehousing, data management, modeling, and integration
• Understanding of the design and development of data models and cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions, i.e. standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching that leverages data standards, processes and technology management for data, master data, and metadata
• Understanding of HR as a practice and the People processes associated with the employee lifecycle
• Willingness to pick up new tools/skills eagerly and proactively to remain a leader in the field
• Team player, high sense of urgency, desire to learn and grow
• Strong business acumen and demonstrated aptitude for actionable analytics
• Exceptional attention to detail with ability to progress multiple projects in parallel

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in quantitative or related field such as data analytics, business analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics, or statistics
• 8 years working in a quantitative environment demonstrating successively more complex modeling and analysis
• Background or familiarity with SAP and/or SAP HR Business Warehouse is desirable
• Proven understanding of predictive analytics and other business-related data analysis strategies
• Strong technical aptitude; advanced skills with various applications and systems including MS Office, Excel
