Responsibilities
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
• Produce assigned weekend newscast in addition to other shows as needed on all NBC4 platforms
• Select and showcase compelling stories that have an impact on people in Southern California
• Provide vision and guidance for newscast to team members including anchors, writers and directors
• Take an active role in editorial meetings, lead weekend coverage and team when needed

• Commitment to accuracy and integrity
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong editorial judgement, researching, strategic thinking and organization skills
• Demonstrated experience with major breaking news
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability working independently as well as collaboratively with other team members
• Proficient with desktop editing
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years experience in producing newscasts
• Experience as a News Producer in a top 25 market
• Bachelor's Degree
