As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team to deliver innovative Marketing, PR, Communications or Brand Management strategies whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Marketing, PR, Communications or Brand Management.
The Marketing Intern role offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in the world of film distribution and be part of a high-performing Marketing team. You will be supporting a fast-paced team to deliver market-leading, innovative campaigns across the entire Universal Pictures UK & Eire slate whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
General support for the Marketing team:
• Ownership of Title Allocations document working with Head of Marketing.
• Liaising with NBCUniversal Legal department for creating and approving competition terms and conditions, and the production of NDAs for screenings.
• Fulfil competition prizes and act as point of contact for winners.
Be the primary point of contact for Mediacom:
• Organise and manage weekly status & digital meetings, plus any ad-hoc meetings or requests.
• Organise and facilitate planning sessions, kick offs and brainstorming sessions.
• Print and save Media plans weekly.
• Administrative support and diary management for the Head of Marketing and Head of Digital.
• As required, be the primary marketing team contact for external parties and stakeholders, e.g. any affiliate partners the business (and Marketing team in particular) may have.
• Ad-hoc support for the Promotions & Partnerships Manager, including provision of required creative assets and feeding of relevant industry information to UPI's brand agency.
Digital Support:
• Management of daily / weekly Dashboard Distribution / Reporting maintenance and health checks (Universal social channels passwords).
• Monthly round ups of competitor's best practice / best social assets/campaigns.
Financial admin support:
• Ownership of the PO creation and management (SAP/SNAP) and management of invoice enquiries.
New vendor set up:
• Work closely with finance team and Marketing Co-ordinator to support on raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
• Management of the Asset Management website Access: sourcing assets and content, updating on a weekly basis.
Presentations:
• Support Marketing team in developing presentation templates.
• Gather creative assets and information, populate as directed.
Events:
• Assist with events i.e. Premieres, screenings, Multimedia screenings as required.
• Send invites, track RSVPs, provide on-site assistance and deal with enquiries. This may extend to on-location and out of office hours help.
• Supporting the marketing team in all aspects of the marketing lifecycle.
• Research and idea generation for marketing plans, agency briefs and innovation/ brainstorming sessions.
• Ad hoc analysis and online research.
Administrative Support:
• Setting up meetings, providing agendas & minutes with clear actions on a weekly basis.?
• Compiling and distributing weekly release calendar, highlighting any changes.
Education
and Qualifications
You will ideally have studied degree-level or equivalent course, specialising in Marketing, Communications, Media or Business-related subjects, seeking an internship for mid July 2019 for a year.
Essential
• Understanding of/active interest in Digital Media, Social Media & online marketing
• A passion for Film with a desire to develop a career in Marketing, Communications or Brand Management
• Proactive & enthusiastic; willingness to learn; ''can-do'' attitude
• Outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills; ability to effectively prioritise/manage workload
• Self-starter & fast learner; ability to work collaboratively within a busy team; work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative & keep calm under pressure
• Used to balancing multiple projects and able to manage expectations and priorities
• Strong office admin & IT skills; confident user of MS Office (in particular PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly & responsibly
• Excellent communicator (written/verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Awareness of events & current affairs in programming
• Well-presented and confident representing the company to key external stakeholders
• A film fan and regular cinema-goer
Requirements
• You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship
• Fluent English. Additional languages may be useful.
