Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
The Gift Card team's mission is to provide innovative products and support across multiple channels for customers to discover, gift and experience the ease and breadth of the total movie-going experience across Fandango's family of businesses.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter to join our team for the summer. You would bring with you an interest in business management and desire to learn more about the growth drivers for the gift card business. You will fit perfectly within our team if you are inquisitive, open to learning new skills and desire to add value to a small and mighty team.
Specifically, you will support the Business-to-Business (B2B) and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) businesses through the following:
Business-to-Business (B2B)
Immerse yourself into the B2B segment of the gift card business and truly understand its nuances and distinctions - resellers vs. bulk purchasers, price and discount models, and incentive and loyalty-based programs. Learn through participation in vendor calls, stakeholder meetings, team brainstorms, etc.
Amass a competitive knowledgebase that gives you the know-how and tools to quickly contribute to the team by:
- Owning and managing contact and communication with prospective and existing customers
- Executing and improving upon the gift card bulk purchasing process with our 3rd party partner to enhance the customer experience
- Developing a customer profile study on Fandango's resellers and bulk order customers
Direct-to-Consumer (D2C)
Gain immeasurable insights into Fandango's D2C gift card business and see how our D2C business is unique from its competitors. Get a behind-the-scenes and deeper understanding of this business channel by learning all that's involved in optimizing our gift card web storefront.
Pretty soon, you'll step up as a team player by:
- Elevating the user experience across all platforms through creative and product updates
- Partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to secure and go live with movie-based intellectual properties for gift cards
- Brainstorming and ideating on new product features and web enhancements to drive purchase intent and sales
Culminate your experience with an end-of-term competitive analysis project, focusing on pricing/promotions, product mix and purchase flow, which will aid in real-time B2B and D2C pivots and help inform future strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree in progress
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) (rising sophomore, junior, or senior)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship
• Must be able to work on-site in Beverly Hills, CA
• Must be available during our program: June 3 – August 9, Monday – Friday, about 9am-6pm, approximately 40 hours/week, for 10 weeks
• Internship positions are paid and do not require school credit
• Recent graduates will not be eligible
