Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
Do you want to work for one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, marketing of entertainment and news?
NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Finance Internship positions across Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, Purchase-To-Pay and Commercial Finance.
To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be studying or have no more than one year of experience post your graduating with a degree-level or equivalent course.
To ensure that you are considered for the placement that best fits your interest and skill set, we recommend that you apply to no more than 3 placements.
Qualifications
/Requirements
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern:
Exact responsibilities will vary; however the main responsibilities will typically include:
• Supporting the team with month and quarter end tasks as required
• Liaising with different departments locally and internationally in territories across the world, third party outsource providers and other parts of the business
• Supporting the team to deliver detailed and accurate financial estimates for budget and forecasting purposes
• Taking ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner
• Completing/assisting with account reconciliations
• Liaising with other finance teams as appropriate
• Collecting data from different media sources to track performance
• Provide analytics and reviews relating to future international releases to aid decision making
• Revenue forecasting and risk analysis
• Ad hoc project work
Controllership Intern:
Exact responsibilities will vary; however the main responsibilities will typically include:
• Assist with month-end/quarter-end close processes
• Management of the payments process by working closely with different business units to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Finance system set up of payment schedules and loading budget
• Support the monthly estimate process, working with businesses/geographies to ensure submissions are accurate and on time
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks
Purchase-to-Pay Intern:
Exact responsibilities will vary; however the main responsibilities will typically include:
• Supporting the team prepare data for monthly Business forum calls
• Attending weekly operational calls with various divisions within the EMEA, UK and US
• Review KPI data and liaise with BPO to resolve any issues
• Help with the implementation of new Business unites – UAT & cutover activities.
• Supporting the team to record and track any system defects & enhancements (SAP)
• Assist with maintenance of Financial Operations Website
• Support tracking down completion of Quarterly Compliance activities by BPO
• Support team with various activities relating to Global P2P project
• Assist with the implementation of ZENDESK a customer service tool
• Supporting the team to transition several Business Units to a P2P central model
• Taking ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner
• Drafting communications to stakeholders
• Liaising with finance and BPO teams as appropriate to discuss process and operational issues
• Ad hoc project work
Commercial Finance Intern:
Exact responsibilities will vary; however the main responsibilities will typically include:
• Business development work
• Company and IP acquisitions
• Strategic portfolio review
• Key market analysis
• Deal structuring
• Ad hoc project work
Education
and Qualifications:
To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be studying or have no more than one year of experience post your graduating with a degree-level or equivalent course. Preferably studying Finance, Management, Economics, Mathematics or Business-related subjects. We also welcome talent from our partner programmes including: Prince's Trust; Mama Youth; and h.Club Foundation.
