There are 2 Finance Internship Opportunities for a July 2019 start date for a 1 year duration:
Controllership (International Studios)
• Helping to manage the accounts payable ledger including invoice coding and dealing with the outsourcing AP team
• Analysing development costs of potential upcoming shows which includes working closely with Monkey Kingdom's Head of Production
• Analysing royalties statements and updating tracker for the royalties team
• Checking T&E reports have been prepared correctly by the outsourcing team
• Updating the licensing and merchandise tracker for the L&M team
• Preparing spend (WIP) reports for production and talking with the production accountants to agree spend on live productions
• Assisting the Controllership team with ad hoc tasks
• Exposure to SAP
Corporate HQ (International Finance Operations)
• Support the team to prepare data for monthly business forum calls.
• Attend weekly operational calls with various divisions within the EMEA, UK and US
• Review KPI data and liaise with BPO to resolve any issues
• Help with the P2P process implementation of new Business units
• Support the team to record and track any system defects & enhancements
• Assist with the maintenance of Finance Operations Website
• Support to track down the completion of quarterly compliance activities by BPO
• Support team with various activities related to Global P2P project
• Assist with the implementation of ZENDESK, a customer service tool
• Take ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely
Education
and Qualifications
You will ideally be currently studying a degree-level or equivalent course, specialising in Finance, Management, Economics or Business-related subjects, seeking a 12 month internship
Essential
• A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop a career in Finance within the Media industry
• Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
• Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
• Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
• Strong office administration and IT skills; confident/advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
• Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
• Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
• Ability to analyse and present financial data
• Willingness to learn and ''can-do'' attitude
• Strong academic record with minimum C grade in Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent)
Desirable
• Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial

- Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
