Part Time Paid Internship
Responsibilities
NBCUniversal are offering a number of 12 month internship opportunities from July 2019 in the Communications, PR and Publicity within NBCUniversal International.
If you have an understanding and passion for keeping people engaged and connected and feel like you could deliver an effective and imaginative narrative, then this could be the role for you.
Corporate Communications
- Compile daily packet, distribute press materials to key executives, keep team apprised of all breaking news and monitor social media for any company or industry related coverage
- Assist department on all events including; Staff Screenings, International Offsite Conference, Town Halls, Christmas Party by facilitating the organization of presentation material, logistics, communication and catering
- Assist with project trackers, communications plan and success merits on various projects for all team as directed
- Work closely with the Digital & Social Coordinator to liaise with social media owners across the company, assist on social media photography and when appropriate promote internal events on our social media platforms
- Reinforce Employee Value Proposition by creatively integrating consistent US brand and messaging ('Here You Can') across global campaigns
- Work closely with Communications Coordinator to run Spark rollout and content updates
- Work with divisions and support Corp Communication team to collate material graphics for Inform Digest for the Manager/Coordinator to write
- Work with department to create content for printed media and internal channels for major employee events
- Ensure all team information is kept-up-to-date including agendas, reports, presentations, planning documents, distribution lists, L-drive etc.
- Liaise with the Film, TV, Home Entertainment, News and Parks divisions to update the Communications Monthly Status Report
- Provide day to day administrative support including; scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, conference calls, PO process management, preparing meeting material including agenda points, minute taking and updating the channels chart/comms calendar
- Assist with distribution to all internal comms channels when needed
PR & Publicity
- Support the team on a full range of publicity and communications activity
- Coordinate and assist with PR events (e.g. press junkets, set visits etc) and team conferences including;
- Logistics – travel bookings, itineraries, restaurant bookings
- Liaison with local PR teams and suppliers
- Manage PR assets; this will include uploading images, videos, press coverage etc to a sharing site
- Collate consumer/trade press coverage
- Manage interview transcripts and general PR enquires, such as; requests for interviews, visits, talent access etc.
- Prepare documents, reports and PowerPoint presentations for events and meetings
- Manage the PO process, including issuing, monitoring and recording of invoices as well as monitoring the department budget
- Team administration support including; expenses, maintaining data integrity of documents on the shared drive (brand strategies, briefs, content images, press releases etc.), setting up regular meetings and video conferences with our local teams
- Assist in general research and work with the team to develop and streamline internal communications processes

Education
& Qualifications
You will be currently studying or recently graduated with a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12 month internship from July 2019. If you are studying English, Marketing, Communications, Media or Business-related subjects this will be an advantage.

Desirable
- Previous work experience in a similar environment
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
