Responsibilities
The Internal Communications and Social Media Specialist will partner with members from across the entire organization to develop and implement social media marketing and engagement. The role will assist with driving consistent communications through weekly newsletters, digital boards, and content for internal website. They will also be responsible for assisting the development, editing, and distribution of social media content. This role requires a proven creative and passionate marketer who will assist with content on multiple social media channels.
Responsibilities include:
• Support the creation of an internal communications strategy
• Assist in the creation of recruiting messaging for social media and improved employer branding
• Social content planning, programming, publishing and tagging
• Assist with writing content to drive community participation, create wellness campaigns, and highlight team member stories, community, wellness, and team member highlights
• Monitor emerging sites and communication channels; recommend new initiatives based on these observations and points of knowledge; create new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and build our audience
• Track channel growth of social media brand pages and other pages as needed; use findings to maximize growth opportunities
• Serve as an internal expert and ambassador, sharing best practices and content guidelines with HR and business partners
• Partner with marketing and sales to communicate relevant site events and offers
• Increase HR/Communication team's capacity to be engaged and participate in Social Media efforts
• Actively partner with social media teams across businesses to share best practices and develop compelling content
• Ability to influence and leverage the organization through knowledge, being savvy, having grace under pressure and confidence
• Act as a comprehensive support function to the Department for ad-hoc tasks and future organizational projects
• Assist with Team Member communications, campaigns, program rollouts and HR initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Journalism, Business, Communication or related field is highly preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience within social media/marketing/communication role
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram
• Mastery of Social Media Tools: Must have extensive experience with all native social channels and experience with a range of social tools: Omniture, Sprinklr, etc.
• Candidate should be familiar with basic photo/video editing, altering, creating, and sharing; a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

• Proactive with the ability to follow up on tasks and strong attention to detail
• Strong ability to effectively analyze and audit data. Strong competence in systems thinking
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and effectively handle sensitive matters
• Experience with applicant tracking systems
• Working knowledge of Human Resources highly preferred
