Part Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities
The marketing team intern will provide a broad range of support to the office of EVP Marketing as well as the offices of SVP Strategy & Planning and VP Research & Strategy. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge in a dynamic environment If you are passionate, proactive, curious, have a positive attitude and the ability to handle/ balance a demanding workload then this is the internship for you.
Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division and team, however there are two main categories of responsibilities of any Theatrical Research & Strategy Intern and these will typically include:
Assistant Duties - Office of SVP Strategy & Planning
- Assisting the team with complex diary management, including organising and coordinating internal and external meetings, scheduling and preparing meeting rooms/setting up video and audio conference calls across multiple time zones
- Receiving and welcoming external visitors, ensuring that prior to meetings all logistics are in place (room booking, presentation set up and catering) and agendas are prepared in advance where required
- Coordinating all travel arrangements and bookings, including creating and managing detailed itineraries
- Providing general administrative support (including use of the NBCU International SAP system, setting up vendors, raising purchase orders (POs), etc.)
- Preparing and processing expense reports to ensure timely repayment of corporate credit cards
- Providing support on various projects including: creating / editing PowerPoint /Keynote presentations, proof reading marketing documents as well as completing and updating numerous Excel documents
- Liaising with external agencies/designers on template creation
- Updating contacts, email distribution lists/directories and managing Dropbox regular updates
- Working with IT to resolve issues as required
- Being an ambassador for the team internally and externally, able to address general questions to the international marketing team, re-distributing queries and requests to the relevant persons across the company
- Other ad hoc requests as required
Marketing Research & Strategy – Specific
- Managing payments for the Research team - raising POs for weekly tracking/ research projects: approving invoices, setting up vendors, updating/monitoring the cost tracker, liaising with Finance team
- Providing assistance for the SVP Strategy & Planning: managing diary and meetings when the SVP is in the London office, processing expenses, booking travel, accommodation, flights & transfers and creating travel itineraries
- Providing assistance for VP Research & Strategy: managing external meetings, processing expenses, coordinating travel
- Research archiving on the internal sharing system and shared drive – uploading various reports and maintaining archives
- Assisting the research team with tracking overview
- Assisting in production of research materials: inputting / downloading data from internal databases
- Help mitigate the impact of growth in Research, Strategy and Analytics area within HO marketing
- Help manage data crunching / data visualisation / presentation design
- Organising agency screenings
- Providing support to the team with; writing creative material descriptions, distributing reports to required parties, proofreading research reports and conducting secondary research as requested (ie, gathering data, trend reports, etc.)

Education
& Qualifications
You will be currently studying or recently graduated with a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12 month internship.
Essential
- Work well as part of busy team, prioritising effectively and managing a busy workload
- Keeping calm under pressure and balancing the work between two departments
- An excellent communicator (both written and verbal), with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent IT skills –proficient in both Windows and Apple operating systems (i.e. PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work with confidential material
- A can do attitude with a flexible and approachable style
Desirable
- Interest and some knowledge of the international film industry
- A second language
- Previous use of SAP to process invoices and expenses
- Proactive task manager who anticipates job requirements, tenacious and sees all tasks through to completion
Requirements
- You must have the right to work in the UK for the full length of the 12 month internship
- Fluent English is essential. Additional languages would be useful.
