Part Time Unpaid Internship
Responsibilities
NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Sales and Account Management internship positions within NBCUniversal International Distribution, Universal Media Studios and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE).
As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team to manage some of our largest new media customers, whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Sales or Account Management.
Qualifications/Requirements
Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division and team, however the main responsibilities of any Sales Intern will include:
- Owning key projects relating to driving revenue on EST (Electronic Sell-Through), TVOD (Transactional Video On Demand) and PPV (Pay Per View) platforms, examples would include:
- Tracking delivery of key content (currents/special interest/acquisitions) to ensure that the right content is prioritized and launched on time.
- Researching holdbacks and making recommendations for TVOD and EST windows and price points
- Working with the team to track and optimise prices
- Providing recommendations to partners for key promotions linked to themes, seasons, genres, actors etc.
- Running reports and selecting titles for platform promotions
- Inputting pricing information into iTunes Connect to drive sales revenue
- Providing pricing information to the sales admin team
- Managing scheduling for both TV and Film content on transactional services and ensuring this takes into account existing licenses of this product;
- Assisting in developing and executing clearance and rights strategy with various internal stakeholders to maximize product exploited on transactional services
- Liaising with internal/external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects, which may include conducting research and writing/proofreading copy
- Collating various reports and updates for distribution as appropriate
- Maintaining calendar of events, adjusting according to changes in schedules
- Providing admin support to the team and additional support to the necessary Directors/VPs as required
Education
and Qualifications
You will be currently studying a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12 month internship. Specialising in Media related subjects would be an advantage.
Essential
- A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop career in Account Management
- Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
- Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
- Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
- Strong office administration and IT skills; confident user of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
- Willingness to learn and ''can-do'' attitude
Desirable
- French, German, and/or Italian language skills would be beneficial
- Previous work experience in a similar environment

- Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship
- Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
