Responsibilities
The Corporate Functions Human Resources team at NBCUniversal are looking for a collaborative, innovative, high integrity, results-driven HR Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team of HR professionals striving to create an engaging, inclusive and dynamic work environment across our global organisation.
In this role, you will provide HR support to our clients within the corporate functions of Legal, Communications, Government Relations, Finance and HR. Partnering with Human Resources and Legal colleagues across multiple businesses, you will help drive HR projects that span: onboarding, talent mobility and engagement, performance management, talent development, talent acquisition, retention, compensation planning, and diversity, equality and inclusive efforts. You will also serve as the HR community lead for deployment of HR initiatives across the various functions in the region.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary HR contact and provide generalist support for the international corporate functions community partnering with the Chief Legal Counsel, International; Head of Government Affairs, International; SVP Communications, SVP Finance (Global Networks) as well as providing support to VP HR EMEA, VP HR APAC, SVP HR Corporate HR, and the broader Corporate HR community supporting operational goals
• Manage all day-to-day HR responsibilities, including: salary/bonus planning, talent reviews, staffing, on and off-boarding, and performance management for client group.
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and champion a positive, respectful work environment and act as an employee advocate.
• Manage staffing process working with clients and our internal talent acquisition team to identify effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for the organization
• Identify and implement projects that will develop and engage our employees throughout their career life-cycle driving the People agenda.
• Work closely and partner effectively with HR leaders to ensure consistent HR practices across related organizations and functions that support business strategy.
• Participate in the ideation and organization of onsite HR4HR employee events related to strategic initiatives that add value (diversity, wellness, L&D, pipeline programs, etc.)
• Be a thoughtful contributor at key senior management meetings and provide HR input for strategic business projects and long-term planning and budgeting processes.
• Lead the organization change management process for respective client groups in response to business strategies.
• Where required, manage HR due diligence and transaction support for M&A or divestment activity, including integration and change management
• Create and execute on Employee Survey action plans and engagement and communications activities throughout the functions
• Provide leadership and line management of HR Generalist, Corporate Functions.
Qualifications
/Requirements
Personal Profile:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, CIPD or other relevant experience
Desired Qualifications:
• Ability to establish trust and credibility with leaders and employees
• Discreet with experience in operating with high levels of integrity and managing highly confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
• Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and projects, delivering high quality HR services in a fast paced, high change environment
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with HR information systems, such as SAP
• Ideally have worked in a creative, media, fast paced globally matrixed industry.
• Adapt and flexible in working in a fluid, ever changing business
• Able to handle multiple priorities and lead change
• Comfortable navigating a global, matrix, fast-paced organisation
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Experience in managing highly complex ER issues, restructures, OD, ensuring partnership with in-house employment law to adhere to company's policies and procedures
• Takes ownership, able to establish self as a the 'go-to' HR point of contact for client organizations
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to drive initiatives from start to finish
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with client-support and consultative orientation
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proven influencer, demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and executives
