Responsibilities
The HR Coordinator is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Administrative duties supporting a diverse group of News and Sports journalists based in Needham, MA. This position is responsible for a high volume of transactional processes related to employee modifications, maintaining positive employee relations, serve as the liaison with Staffing, Training, Payroll, and Benefits to manage and resolve issues.
Client Service:
• Respond to routine questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, and policy
• Deliver high client service by offering solutions and effectively problem-solving questions or concerns raised by employees
• Act as the primary liaison with several HR departments including Payroll and Benefits, to manage and resolve day to day employee issues.
HR Processes:
• Process workflows for data changes, promotions, timekeeper actions, new hire and termination paperwork and others as needed
• Serve as primary user for all HR systems: SAP, Timekeeper, Brassring etc
• Maintain and update all employee email distribution lists, as well as staff contact lists
• Coordinate the intern program including attending recruitment events, interviewing and assisting managers through the onboarding process each semester
• Assist in program rollouts (i.e. performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrollment, etc.)
• Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
• Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required
Reporting/Administrative:
• Support the Facility Manager with distribution of incoming mail and coordinate shipments from the station.
• Help with ordering & distributing office supplies
• Assist coordination and administration of EHS for the facility
• Maintain cubicle signage for new hires and termination as well as office moves
• Act as on-site point of contact for employee events (i.e., flu clinics)
• Order and coordinate catering services for in-office events (snowstorms, super bowl, etc.)
• Support GM with meeting scheduling, travel and other tasks as needed
• Run/generate monthly and ad hoc employee data reports in the system on an as needed basis.
• Plan logistics for employee meetings, trainings, roundtables, including room reservations and technology set-up
• Provide administrative HR support, including preparing presentations, generating monthly and ad hoc reports and sending employee communications
• Maintain and/or create employee files including the I-9 verifications for all new employees
• Maintain and update organization charts

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 1 year of HR or related experience

• Bachelors in Human Resource Management or related field preferred
• Human Resource certification, training or professional human resource affiliations
• Mid to advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel (ability to process data, create pivot tables, charts and formulas)
• Experience with SAP and BrassRing
• Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
• Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities
• Ability to resolve employee issues
• Ability and willingness to take on the administrative duties, heavy work flow processing
• "Customer service" minded professional
• Exceptional communication skills, with the professional savvy of communicating at all levels
• Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Experience with PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
• Understanding of business financials preferred.
