Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The HR Generalist, Content Distribution is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Administrative support for a client base within the Content Distribution team. This position is responsible for interfacing & problem solving with a number of business partners and providing broad HR administrative and transactional support for a team of approximately 175 employees.
Responsibilities:
HR Processes:
• Process personnel change requests for data changes, hires, promotions, timekeeper actions, terminations, and special payments
• Maintain organizational structure in SAP, processing organizational changes as needed
• Oversee LOA processes; processing transactions and ensuring LOA pay is accurate as well as educating employees on LOA processes and procedures
• Prepare severance estimates, draft separation agreements and packages & coordinate all final payments abiding by pay rules in multiple states
• Serve as primary user for all HR systems:, SAP, Brassring, euHReka, etc
• Primary contact for Content Distribution HR metrics and analytics, utilizing Business Warehouse and other HR systems to run regular and ad hoc reports and Excel for data analysis
• Participate in and support key HR initiatives, including performance management, succession planning & compensation planning
• Liaise with various HR specialties and partners, including Benefits and Payroll, to manage and resolve day to day employee issues
• Maintain and update all employee email distribution lists
• Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts…in a timely manner
• Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
• Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required
• Assist in creation of job descriptions for open positions, and post open jobs via nbcunicareers.com
• Process new hires and ensure full onboarding experience is achieved
• Ensure physical setup is complete for all new employees including phones, workspaces and computers. Assist with space planning in the office
• Assist in recruiting of temporary talent through Agile1 / YOH
• Work with business clients in processing YOH/Agile 1 setup requests for temporary employees
• Administer i-9 verifications for all new hires; partnering with local HR support for locations outside of NYC
• Plan logistics for employee meetings, trainings, roundtables, including room reservations and technology set-up
• Provide administrative HR support, including preparing presentations, generating monthly and ad hoc reports and sending employee communications
• Assist with change management initiatives as they relate to client group
• Maintain employee files
• Update and run reports monthly for organization charts as well as employee census
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 2 years' of experience working within an organization in Human Resource capacity
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field preferred
• Mid to advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel (ability to process data, create pivot tables, charts and formulas)
• Experience with SAP and BrassRing a plus
• Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities
• Ability and willingness to handle heavy work flow processing
• Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Excellent communication skills; effectively keeps team members and employees informed on that status of assignments
• Strong employee-relations skills; must be approachable and able to earn trust and credibility with employees in the organization
• Able to deal effectively with conflict and manage difficult employee relations situations
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
