Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Human Resources Director will support Bravo & Oxygen Networks, providing day-to-day HR leadership for approximately 220 staff employees across all departments. The Director is responsible for driving key HR initiatives in areas such as change management, staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication. In addition, this person will be responsible for partnering with the broader Cable Entertainment HR team on cross-portfolio initiatives including participation in our diversity practices and outreach agenda, learning & development programs and employee engagement activities.
Responsibilities
• Provide onsite HR leadership, serving as main point of contact for all talent management, OD, recruitment, learning, benefits and employee relations issues for these networks
• Participate in and lead key HR initiatives, including: staffing, performance management, organization planning, compensation planning and employee development
• Understand roles, dynamics and key business priorities of client groups in order to coach business leaders on effectively managing and leading their organizations
• Help employees/leaders navigate corporate process, complex dynamics and sensitive situations
• Assume leadership role in resolving employee relations issues, coaching managers and employees in a compassionate manner. Partner with Legal team to ensure risk is mitigated
• Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures when questions arise (vacation, maternity leave, etc.)
• Participate in the ideation and organization of onsite employee events related to strategic initiatives (diversity, wellness, L&D, pipeline programs, etc.)
• Manage staffing process, working with hiring managers and talent acquisition team to identify recruitment strategies, ensure diverse candidate slates and top quality candidate selection
• Work with NBCU Training & Development and/or broader Cable HR team as necessary to provide programs and facilitation to ensure that training strategies meet employee skill development needs.
• Manage union awareness activities / initiatives in collaboration with legal and labor relations
• Manage/mentor more junior members of the Cable HR team
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant HR Business partner experience including recruiting, performance management, salary planning and organizational development
• Experience managing and/or mentoring more junior members of HR staff

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable State and Federal employment laws and general business practices
• Master's degree in HR and/or related field a plus
• Creative problem solver with a passion for HR strategy
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management, and presentation skills
• Previous experience in television, tech/digital, entertainment industry
• Experience with SAP and/or Brassring (or related tools)
• Strong employee-relations skills; earns trust and credibility with employees in assigned groups
• Proven process management skills; demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills
• Strong client-support orientation, the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually, and in groups

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the professional savvy of communicating effectively with employees and executives inside and outside of the company
• Possess a natural, yet professional ease working with and relating to employee needs in a fast-paced, diverse, ever-changing environment
• Strong influence and conflict resolution skills
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through skills
• Must have ability to execute both strategic and tactical priorities
• Ability to work independently, juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines
• Ability, and comfort level, working in corporate and production environments
• Sense of humor appreciated, quick thinking and approachable nature needed
