Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Human Resources Director will support E! News & Digital, providing day-to-day HR leadership for approximately 200 staff employees across several departments. This person will operate as the HR lead business partner for the E! News and Digital organizations providing HR guidance/expertise and demonstrating deep understanding in HR practices and the business operations.
Responsibilities
• Drive key HR initiatives including, coaching and management, organizational design, employee engagement, contract negotiations, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, and employee communication
• Understand dynamics and key business priorities of client groups in order to coach business leaders on effectively managing and leading their organizations
• Assume leadership role in resolving employee relations issues and conducting investigations in close partnership with our law department to ensure risk is mitigated
• Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures when questions arise (vacation, maternity leave, etc.)
• Participate in the ideation and organization of onsite employee events related to strategic initiatives (diversity, wellness, L&D, pipeline programs, etc.)
• Manage staffing process, working with hiring managers and talent acquisitions to identify recruitment strategies as well as ensure diverse candidate slates and top quality candidate selection
• Work with NBCU Training & Development and/or broader ELG HR team as necessary to provide programs and facilitation to ensure that training strategies meet employee needs, supervisory training and skill development
• Manage performance and union awareness activities / initiatives in collaboration with legal and labor relations
• Manage/mentor more junior members of the ELG HR team

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 7 years of relevant HR experience
• Experience managing and/or mentoring more junior members of HR staff

• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable State and Federal employment laws and general business practices
• Master's degree in HR and/or related field a plus

• Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management, and presentation skills
• Strong employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees in assigned groups
• Strong business acumen, analytical and project management skills
• Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the professional savvy of communicating effectively with all levels of employees, managers and executives inside and outside of the company
• Strong influence and conflict resolution skills
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills
• Must have ability to execute both strategic and tactical priorities
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines
