Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The HR Assistant, Cable Entertainment is responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Executive Assistant administrative support for the Cable Entertainment Group, as well as specifically supporting the USA & SYFY businesses and corporate functions locally. In addition to providing high-level administrative support to EVP, HR & Diversity Outreach, this position is responsible for interfacing & problem solving with business partners and providing broad HR administrative and transactional support for a team of 1 SVP, 1 HR Director, 1 HR Manager and approximately 350 employees.
Responsibilities
Executive Administration Responsibilities:
• Provide high-level executive assistant support through calendar management and maintenance, coordinating heavy influx of phone calls and emails, scheduling business travel arrangements (air, ground & hotel), reconciling corporate cards
• Plan logistics for regular team meetings and trainings, organizing all facilities and IT/AV requirements
• Generate ad hoc reports and presentations, assist with crafting and sending mass employee communications
• Assist with organization change initiatives as they relate to client groups
• Support cross-portfolio initiatives of succession planning, learning and development events, diversity initiatives etc.
• Management of quarterly reporting on workforce metrics
HR Assistant Responsibilities:
• Participating in and supporting key HR initiatives, to include performance management, succession planning, benefits open enrollment & compensation planning
• Act as a liaison with several HR departments including Payroll and Benefits, in order to manage and resolve day to day employee issues or redirect to appropriate contacts
• Serve as primary user for all HR information systems, SAP, Brassring, etc.
• Process change requests for all data changes, hires, promotions, timecard actions, termination paperwork and others
• Manage on boarding and off boarding for all staff and temp talent
• Ensure all exit paperwork in order and payments scheduled when terminating employees

• Assist in recruiting of temporary talent through Agile1 / YOH
• Handle light Employee Relations issues
• Participate in recruitment process/staffing for early career roles
• Oversee the administration process for all leave of absence transactions, including partnering with payroll and benefits to ensure accuracy
• Prepare severance estimates, complete separation agreements & coordinate all final payroll payments for any reductions in force
• Running regular and ad hoc reports from applicable HR systems
• Upkeep of time card system through TimeKeeper application to maintain accuracy in paychecks, run regular overtime reports for HR and finance teams
• Regular maintenance of departmental org charts
• Maintain employee email distribution lists, as well as staff contact lists
• Keep apprised & updated on new regulations, company policies & procedures
• Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required
• Maintain and create all hard copy employee files onsite, also complete I-9 verifications for all new employees
• Assist in recruitment events, act as an HR contact, if needed, for interns during their semester
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 2 years of Administrative or HR related experience in fast paced employee based or client needs
• Minimum of 2 years of Administrative experience, working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse and BrassRing
• Proven ability to handle extremely confidential information, act with integrity and use discretion
• Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks (while managing expectations)
• Ability and willingness to take on the administrative duties, heavy work flow processing
• Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Proven track record of excellent follow-through on assignments; demonstrated commitment to getting tasks accomplished
• Excellent judgment and communication skills; effectively keeps team members and employees informed on that status of assignments
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients

• Prior media/television industry experience preferred
