Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As a Researcher, you will work directly with Associate Producers, Producers and Senior Producers to assist in the production of original content for TODAY.
Job Duties:
• Requests, reviews and modifies graphic orders, assigns uncompleted requests, and produces additional elements to enhance segments.
• Serve as the final evaluator of prepared graphics, ensuring elements are accurate, error-free, and made in accordance with the producers' desires and the show's look and feel.
• Act as liaison between the editorial team and graphic artists.
• Manage graphics from conceptualization to completion, including animations, maps, photographs, text panels, monitors and lower thirds.
• Communicate continually evolving rundown changes to a variety of team contributors.
• Review producers' notes to develop in-depth knowledge of all segments.
• On occasion, assist Producers with general research, edits, shoots and live segments as needed.
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, English or a related field of study.
• At least 1 year production and graphics experience in news production at the network or cable news level.
• Proven have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong journalistic research skills, and editorial judgment.
• Strong grammar, punctuation, spelling and written communication skills a must.
