Responsibilities
As General Producer you will work directly with the Executive Producer and entire staff to generate unique, engaging and competitive content for “Al Rojo Vivoâ€, a daily news magazine.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for ideation, development and execution of editorial content and creative direction of a daily live news magazine under the supervision of the Executive Producer.
• Work on the selection of news stories, interviews and other segments for the content of each show as well as future stories. This also includes for specials and/or breaking news coverage.
• Supervises the assignment desk, as well as national and international reporters/producers.
• Generate content initiatives and special projects/series to grow audiences.
• Oversee cross promotion initiatives of other network properties as well as corporate initiatives evaluating content proposals for the show.
• Responsible for coordination of sales integrated segments.
• Oversees producers and editors during pre-production process making sure that all deadlines are met, and the quality of the product meets all expectations.
• Works closely with the Executive Producer to develop procedures and workflow and clear responsibilities for the production team.
• Works under the direct supervision of the Executive Producer and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
• Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organization skills.
• Proven experience in daily live show supervision and production.
• Strong journalistic standards and editorial judgement with solid writing skills.
• Extensive knowledge of US Hispanic community, current affairs, social issues and entertainment/pop culture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience of supervising live news productions as well as being responsible for the editorial content.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Inews or equivalent.
Eligibility Requirements

• Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends.
• Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be “on call†24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English (speak, read & write).
• Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
• Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and natural disaster emergencies.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
