Responsibilities
Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (''UFEG'') is a highly visible group responsible for creating new strategies and initiatives to build and grow Universal Pictures through new growth projects and M&A. UFEG is looking for a highly driven, analytical and experienced MBA Intern of Strategy and Business Development. The candidate will contribute to the management and execution of projects to support Universal Pictures strategic initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Contribute expertise and perspective toward the development of UFEG's near term and long range strategy
• Work closely with senior management to identify growth initiatives and opportunities that can drive incremental profitability across UFEG business units
• Conduct various analyses in support of strategic decision making and investment / acquisition recommendations including: financial models, market assessments, target company valuations, competitor benchmarking, and assessment of industry developments
• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of strategic initiatives and potential acquisitions / investments
• Create compelling presentation materials that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to senior management
• Manage workflow and output for all members of the team
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• Completion of 1st year of a current MBA program at the start of the internship
• Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered
• Must be willing submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must be enrolled in an MBA program at a college/university
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work on-site in Universal City, CA
Desired Characteristics
• Excellent quantitative and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating at all levels of an organization
• Superior project management and process improvement experience
• Ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and be effective under pressure
• Adaptability and flexibility to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and dynamic environment
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills required
• Proven interest in media & entertainment
• Background in consulting or banking preferred but not required
