Responsibilities
As part of NBCU's effort to globalize our full-service in-house Executive Search function, the Executive Search Lead will be responsible for supporting a media and entertainment search consulting practice that provides best-in-class executive recruitment and talent management services to NBCUniversal's family of businesses.
The role will support the search team in a variety of ways including managing full-service executive searches, candidate development, supporting existing searches and operations. Additionally, this person will support the Executive Search Research Team on building talent pipelines, candidate mapping, and other projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Support, build and maintain NBCU's Executive Search presence throughout the portfolio
• Working with the Search team, boost and reinforce highly-tailored executive recruitment strategies in service of NBCU's brand portfolio, business segments and initiatives
• Manage hands-on execution of targeted Vice President and above level searches and support existing senior executive searches related to all executive level positions across the company's internal client base
• Collaborate with the Director, Research and Operations and her team in the US and trade up-to-date candidate and market information, maintaining cutting edge real-time database capture and curation
• Work seamlessly and collaboratively with all members of the NBCU Executive Search team, ensuring the highest discretion and confidentiality
• Develop business partnership-level relationships with Human Resources and business leaders across the NBCU portfolio aiming to ultimately serve as a trusted advisor and subject-matter-expert in media and entertainment and to provide a seamless and high touch Executive Search experience
• Provide support towards team recruitment metrics including statistics on: quality of hire and impact, time-to-fill, candidate volume and talent pool depth, resource allocation/utilization, cost savings, source of hire and client satisfaction, among other deliverables
• Represent NBCU as a highly coveted and sought-after employer in the market place
• Act as an ambassador for NBCU's overall commitment to diversity and inclusion as a core value and business imperative
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years relevant Executive Search or executive-level recruiting experience, ideally within media, entertainment and digital services / content
Desired Qualifications
• Demonstrated success in managing full-cycle search process within a consumer focused practice of a top-tier consulting firm, or demonstrated success managing a robust internal executive level recruiting function within a diversified media and entertainment or technology / digital media company
• Exceptional track record of recruiting execution, combined with analytical, strategic and problem solving skills
• Meticulous, yet able to multi-task effortlessly
• Excellent time management and follow-up skills paramount to perform in a multi-client, fast paced, frequently pressurized and frenetic environment
• Ability to form strategic business partnerships internally and externally with multiple stakeholders, including senior line management, corporate and divisional Human Resources executives and other internal or external project based stake holders
• Strong business acumen and organizational savvy necessary to understand and anticipate future business and talent needs
• Subject matter expert in media and entertainment or related sector, specifically around key players/first movers in the industry, functional business drivers and disciplines; proven ability to assess the competitive landscape and spot organizational and industry trends
• Skilled at guiding and delivering competitive market intelligence function; ability to capture and synthesize large volumes of market and talent information for consumption by senior management and business owners
• Superior written and oral communication skills necessary for candidate interviewing and assessment, client correspondence, project documentation and status reporting
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
