Responsibilities
Role Summary
Dynamic and exciting opportunity to provide overall human resources support for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group organizations. The role responsibilities include organizational design, staffing, training & development, coaching, employee relations, compensation planning, and support for talent pipeline programs.
Responsibilities
• Serve as primary HR support and strategic business partner for various assigned client groups in the Filmed Entertainment Group (including Film Finance, Strategy & Business Development).
• Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost initiatives; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies
• Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and development
• Help to drive change within the organization, to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
• Identify, select, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline
• Provide executive coaching to department leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
• Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements
• Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers
• Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
• Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner
• Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes, conduct and direct investigations ensuring prosper handling, documentation and alignment with legal.
• Help to drive the management and delivering of key HR supported initiatives: Compensation, Talent Planning, and Performance Feedback
• Work with management to develop and implement training strategies to meet employee needs, including supervisory training, and skill development. Work with Talent Development and/or selects consultants as necessary to provide programs and facilitation.
• Assist in identifying and strategically analyzing organizational development opportunities to ensure departments are set up to operate efficiently and effectively
• Develop retention strategies and monitor attrition for assigned groups
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
• 7 years relevant HR experience, with management experience, generalist / employee relations

• Solid written and verbal communication skills a must, including the ability to interface with others inside and outside of the company in a positive and professional manner
• Able to work independently with the ability to juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines
• Media/Broadcast/Production experience preferred
• Ability to and be comfortable working in both a corporate environment as well as a production environment
• Sense of humor appreciated, quick thinking and approachable nature needed
• Ability to work in a diverse, and fast paced environment
