Responsibilities
The Compensation Manager will work with the wider Global Compensation team to provide consultative and analytical support related to the design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of compensation programs, including base pay, short and long-term incentives, sales compensation and employee recognition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Remain current on global compensation trends and practices as well as any changes in regulations
• Evaluate market and economic trends to recommend adjustments to compensation
• Manage compensation programs – salary merit process, bonus plan, long-term incentive plans
• Provide explanation of compensation programs to employees and HR generalists, as needed and assist in preparation of compensation related communication materials
• Serve as a liaison for compensation with other functional areas including Global Mobility, HR Operations (i.e., HRIS) and Finance (i.e., payroll)
• Participate in and organize data from market compensation surveys to assist with ongoing competitive analyses and pay program assessments
• Work with accounting, legal, other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all applicable laws
• Work both independently as well as in a team partnership
Qualifications/Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree qualified (or equivalent).
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in a Compensation role
• Must be able to demonstrate a sound awareness of current compensation best-practice
• Experience of working in a matrixed reporting structure in an evolving and changing organisation
• Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills are vital
• Proven self-starter attitude and approach to work
• Excellent project management skills
• Proven technical knowledge with the ability to articulate in a way that the lay person can understand
• Work effectively in an internal consultancy capacity with a focus on client service delivery while being solutions focused
• Able to prioritize, work under pressure, and manage complex projects on time and on budget
• Demonstrated experience leading compensation design changes from concept to execution
• Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion
• Maturity to handle sensitive information and make sound decisions
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages

• Some travel may be required
• Additional languages are beneficial but not essential
