Responsibilities
The Compensation Analyst will support the wider Reward team to conduct data analysis related to the design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of compensation programs, including base pay, short and long-term incentives, sales compensation and employee recognition.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Partner with internal HR team to help address compensation-related issues
• Assist with assessment of current compensation levels relative to the external market and to internal peers
• Assist the International Reward and Global Compensation team with annual compensation processes
• Assist with the preparation of summary exhibits to illustrate outcomes from merit planning, bonus planning, and equity grants
• Organize data from market compensation surveys to assist with ongoing competitive analyses
• Understand and be comfortable communicating compensation programs to employees and HR generalists, as needed
• Evaluate market and economic trends to prepare compensation recommendations and adjustments
• Prepare reports summarising compensation programs for executive and employee meetings
• Serve as a liaison for compensation with other functional areas including Benefits (i.e., pension), HR Operations (i.e., HRIS) and Finance (i.e., payroll)
• Serve as a contact and resource for business unit HR teams
• Work with the HR Operations team to ensure compensation data in the SAP system is accurately maintained
• Assist with ad-hoc projects in support of business initiatives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience with compensation and/or financial analysis and modelling preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• A functional knowledge of statistics as applied in a business environment is preferred
• Strong Excel skills are vital
• Proficiency with PowerPoint is preferred
• Working knowledge and understanding of SAP is preferred
• Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are necessary
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a high pressure work environment is essential
• Ability to keep confidentiality when handling sensitive information
