Responsibilities As a desk assistant you will provide administrative support to NBC News & MSNBC Editorial correspondents.
Responsibilities:
• General administrative duties including travel planning, expense reports, phone/mail, supplies, filing and other business matters
• Schedule and arrange meetings and conference calls with internal and external parties at a fast and constantly changing pace
• Take the lead in organizing logistics for production needs, including schedule, location, props, travel, etc.
• Conduct research on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, formats, talent and competitive environment
• Assist with additional projects and other duties as required
• Fill in as a researcher or production assistant
• Must be able to backfill researchers in fast paced control room environment
• Must be comfortable communicating with other executives and on-air talent
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum one year of professional experience in a news
environment
• Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft
Suite Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the
ability to deal with all levels of management
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
with discretion.
• Flexible, organized, self-starter, and extremely detail-
oriented â€'' able to seek out answers and resources on
own
• Exceptional time management skills with the ability to
prioritize and juggle numerous projects and deadlines in
an extremely fast-paced and high-volume environment
