Full Time Unpaid Internship
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work closely with a staff of NGKids Visual Identity team to learn about and assist in all aspects of the design and production process for print, video, and digital products which includes magazines, books, video files for YouTube and the NGKids web site. Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Filemaker software in Mac operating system is required. Responsibilities will include assistance for:
BOOKS, MAGAZINES, WEB
• Assist art directors and book designers with layout edits on book and magazine interiors and other production/design needs
• Update design and production manuals as needed
• Help with preparing materials for weekly Creative Review meetings
• Update book and magazine cover binders
• Provide backup production and support help to Production and Designers
• Assist with digital production/design needs
• Send comp copies of books and magazines to contributors
PHOTO
• Use Filemaker to check photo credits for books and magazines
• Help with photo research images for books, magazine and digital
• Help track down hard to find images
• Input metadata, add images to Mediagrid server
• Back-up Mediagrid server uploads to Dropbox folder

• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
