Full Time Unpaid Internship
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Opportunity for candidates with a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related disciplines interested in putting their skills to work as a Software Engineer
• Participate in Agile Software Development, including Scrum and Kanban team ceremonies
• Assist with writing/updating technical documentation (application specifications engineering/architecture, etc…)
• Assist with development efforts when possible (Python, PHP, JavaScript)
• Become familiar with using DevOps tools and assist others with use
• Shadow software engineers and managers to learn roles and responsibilities
Qualifications
Applicants should have prior experience in software development and be actively pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related disciplines. In addition, applicants should have the following:
• Overall experience with software engineering lifecycle support (requirements, design, implementation, test)
• HTML / CSS experience
• Python, PHP, or JavaScript language experience
• Linux operating system experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and organized
• Ability to handle and prioritize simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company
• All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
