JOB DESCRIPTION
The Editor/Producer for NatGeo.com Travel is responsible for developing and creating Travel content across publishing platforms (O&O, social platforms, and apps). This person will participate in the planning and execution of content to ensure that what they produce is up to standard in terms of quality and timeliness. On a daily basis, this means assigning stories and projects, and shepherding stories and projects through publication, particularly writing for picture stories, and managing special projects. The Producer will ensure that what the team produces is not only high-quality, but resonates with the audience, and aligns with audience data and insights.
Responsibilities:
* Assign, edit, and produce original content across Travel platforms; Top-quality content with high engagement
* Innovate new digital products and franchises for Travel
* Write original content for the Travel audience
* External relationship-building, industry engagement, public presentation, communication with internal and external stakeholders
* Develop social-first and video-centric ideas that create engagement on all platforms; Audience growth and loyalty on all platforms
Requirements:
*Experience using a CMS, and understanding of social media platforms and content distribution; editing and writing experience;
* 4 years of relevant editorial experience
* Proficiency in audience analytics
* Advanced knowledge of social media and publishing software skills is required
* Creativity, strategic thinking, drive, mission, motivation, ability to prioritize and execute at a fast pace
