JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Production Manager will budget original productions as well as updates and mashups that include shoots. Negotiate, contract, hire and maintain relationships with production crew and vendors. Responsible for logistical requirements including air/car travel, lodging, special transportation (ships/charter flights) and permits for both international and domestic shoots. Work with legal to contract Composers and Graphic companies. Review and process all production field expenses. Reconcile invoices with contracts and submit for payment. Support crew 24/7 while in the field. Manage 3rd Party Productions from contract through delivery. Communicate with client (NGC/Wild/D+) throughout the process of any schedule delays, budget issues or production issues. Create and manage budget for all types of Studios programs. Review and approve invoices and expenses. Track all costs and cost report monthly. Request, review and maintain contracts and contract requirements. Use company approved systems such as SAP and EP. Backup for Finance Coordinator for invoice submission via SAP.Liaise with Post-Production for editors, AE and edit rooms scheduling. Ensure technical specs for footage and post deliveries are communicated and met. Hire Composers, Graphics. Ensure master and all deliverables have been sent on schedule.Liaise with internal insurance, risk management, animal use and health & safety departments. Ensure all international vendors meet NG/Disney Compliance requirements. Communicate production information for cross-platform events.
Responsibilities:
• Budgeting and production financial management.
• Ensures accurate cost reporting and tracking of all programming.
• Contracting, hiring, negotiating with all required 3rd party vendors: crews, graphics, post, transcription, etc.
• Ensure highest quality technical standards of production.
• Liaise with all pertinent corporate entities for production safety and compliance: legal, security, insurance, production safety, compliance, etc.
• Ensure proper procedures and appropriate corporate processes are followed.
• Interface with other corporate departments.
• Provides accurate, appropriate Studios production information.
Requirements:
• 5 years production management experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Strong financial management skills.
• Word, Excel, Power Point, Basic Editing.
• Strong communication, detail skills; ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
