Part Time Unpaid Internship
MY Entertainment is seeking a highly organized, charismatic, and reality-TV-loving junior or senior in college to assist development and administrative needs. The ideal candidate must be able to commit to at least 2 days a week (ideally Tuesdays being of those days) and must commit to the full term--February 4 through May 24. This opportunity is New York-based, unpaid and for credit only.
Responsibilities:
• General office management assistance and maintenance
• Answer phones
• Set-Up conference calls
• Assist with scheduling meetings
• Organize materials for the owner of the company
• Research concepts and talent
• Organize research and statistics into presentations
• Search for talent/assist in casting projects
• Take on creative social media projects
• Monitor google alerts relating to MYE press coverage
• Write up weekly news briefs
Requirements:
• Comfortable answering phones
• Professional phone and email etiquette.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Eager to learn
• Hungry to work
• Desire to work in television
• A passion for unscripted/reality/documentary television
• A passion for keeping up with the news
• An interest in social media strategy
• Recognize that you need to start somewhere (you won't be fetching coffees but you'll gain valuable administrative skills needed to start a career in entertainment).
• Familiarity with Excel and Outlook is a huge plus
