Part Time Unpaid Internship
Music Sales Corporation, an independent music publishing company, is looking for an intern eager to learn about licensing music for film & television. Music Sales is a full-service music publisher that boasts an expansive catalogue spanning all genres.
At the Los Angeles branch of our multinational family of offices, our efforts are often focused on synchronization and other licenses, artist relations, copyright management and catalogue acquisition. In addition to our standards and classics, we represent songwriters and composers who are active in the pop, classical, film/TV, and advertising worlds.
Description and Requirements
This internship sits within our Creative Synchronization team who pitch and place music in some of today's biggest films and television shows. You will help the team manage our expansive music library, learn how to tag music, create playlists and market songs for visual media, as well as liaise with studios and music supervisors to help our team finalize licensing deals and see them through to completion.
As a Music Sales intern, you will be immersed in a fast-paced environment with an opportunity to learn about songwriter deals, music copyright law and music licensing. Each day will bring new challenges and learning opportunities.
Candidates must:
· Possess strong interpersonal skills. Be responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.
· Be a quick learner, able to take on new tasks with flexibility
· Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with iTunes is desirable
· Commit to 2 full days a week
· Be currently academically enrolled and qualify for internship class credit
· Be interested in the world of music licensing for visual media
