Search for MTV On-Air Promotions Scheduling Coordinator jobs in New York-NY
The MTV On-Air Promotions Scheduling Coordinator assists with the daily log scheduling of all promos and graphics on MTV, ensuring daily logs are managed strategically, completed correctly, and delivered on time. In this role, the scheduling coordinator is responsible for correctly scheduling all promotional elements as well as working very closely with commercial operations, programming, campaign management, social, sister networks and network operations to maximize inventory and time out the log correctly:
• Properly schedules all promotional messages across a 24 hour broadcast log
• Daily communication (including weekends) with the NOC regarding timing/proper triggering of these messages and any technical issues that may arise at the NOC
• Takes direction from Senior Manager, Promotional Scheduling regarding strategy and meets as needed to discuss promotional inventory requests and scheduling issues
• Backs up log scheduler for VH1/MTV2/CMT suite as needed
• Communicates timings and guidelines to internal and external partners as needed
• Runs as reports as needed
This position reports to Senior Manager, On Air Promo Scheduling, MTV
Requirements:
• Experience in a programming or promo scheduling department preferred
• Comprehension and previous use of promo scheduling system (PTS) and/or VCI/GABRIEL or another broadcast scheduling software system preferred
• Multi-tasking and attention to detail a must
• Sincere interest in on air media strategy and implementation within a changing media environment
• Bachelor's degree
• Comfortable in a team atmosphere and being a self-starter
• Position requires being on call 24/7 for emergencies
