This is a Full Time Job
The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the operational accounting group supporting the day-to-day processes as well as the monthly and quarterly book close. This position provides on-going financial support to the company’s various product groups (Live, Productions, Marquee Events, and Premium Hospitality). Responsibilities also include journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for the Senior Manager, Accounting.
What will you do?
• Prepare journal entries from a variety of source documentation from operations
• Own the entire event settlement revenue process from beginning to end
• Assist in the recording and reconciliation of ticket sales from various sources
• Assist with the preparation and review of the quarterly balance sheet analyses.
• Assist & the preparation & review of monthly accounts receivable aging analysis pertaining to events.
• Work closely with FP&A partners throughout the business.
• Assist with company-wide expense allocations
• Assist with requests from Tax, External Auditors and Internal Auditors.
• Assist, recommend and improve company-wide utilization of financial systems to enhance accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Support Operational Accounting group day-to-day activities
• Complete special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests in an accurate and timely manner, as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Accounting/Finance, or related discipline)
• 4 years of accounting experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of monthly closing processes
• Big 4 Accounting Experience a plus
• Excellent quantitative analytical skills
• Familiarity with oracle and excellent PC, Excel and Word skills
• Experience with and strong knowledge of GAAP rules
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, work within a team environment and company culture
• Ability to evaluate processes and recommend and implement more efficient practices and procedures
• Ability to work with cross functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working.
