Job Description
This publicist role is responsible for the execution of impactful media relations strategies and campaigns on behalf of MPRM clients that range from television, film and streaming projects to production companies and networks to awards submissions and campaigns. The position will have direct client contact, developing strategies and media lists, and executing campaigns with heavy media outreach. The position will also serve the agency's awards team managing submissions and FYC campaigns.
We are seeking someone who is creative, strategic, goals oriented, enjoys pop culture and wants to work in a collaborative, friendly, and inspiring setting. Ours is a fast-paced environment and you must be able to juggle workload efficiently and effectively. The candidate must have experience in PR, publicity or communications role(s) as well as awards, with excellent media relationships and writing skills. An interest in the entertainment industry is a must. Agency experience is a BIG plus. The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated self-starter with a team-focused attitude, and a solutions-oriented approach.

Essential Responsibilities
- Manage and execute PR campaigns
- Day-to-day client contact, manage email and phone correspondence, lead client calls and meetings.
- Generate press materials, including announcement releases, bios, captions, talking points, loglines, pitch letters, etc.
- Foster strong contacts with print, online and electronic media.
- Secure stories, manage and staff interviews and events, compile and present comprehensive campaign coverage and analysis.
- Oversee and approve client related projects.
- Ensure client teams are on track for all deliverables, including maintaining status reports, coverage reports, creating applicable media lists, etc.
- Develop and manage positive relationships with our clients and the media.
- Manage awards submissions and liaise with various organizations on eligibility, requirements, etc.
- Ensure all company-wide internal resources and materials are kept up to date.
- Manage, and mentor, coordinators and assistants.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in public relations/communications, media, entertainment and/or distribution
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills required
- Knowledge of the Awards industry and experience running and managing FYC creative campaigns.
- Must be highly organized, professional, motivated, and extremely detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
- Must have the ability to multitask, work well under pressure and work effectively under changing priorities, deadlines, and daily time constraints.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook + Google Suite
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in public relations or related field preferred.
- Located in the Los Angeles metro area. **This is a hybrid position and will require some in-office/in-person work.

- Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
